Default Anyone ever use dry ice to pop out a dent?

I have 2 small dents on my 87. Drivers side & pass side. I read that you can heat up the dent with a blowdryer and then with gloves hold dry ice to the dent and the temp change will pop out the dent.

Has anyone tried this ever ?

I worked for an airline that had airplane subjected to hail damage. They used a heat gun and dry ice. It seemed to work but you have to be careful you don't damage the paint with too much heat. Try the blow dryer first since it's lower heat. Apply the dry ice in the center using the point of a corner so you don't spread the extreme cold out too far. How large are the dents? Where are you in S. Florida?

This sounds like a fun experiment to try. I have a few "shopping cart" dents that i'd like to try this on...

If all else fails there is "Paintless Dent Repair" shops around most major cities. Any body shop can recommend one.

FWIW...I have watched a guy use a harbour freight heat gun to pop out a dent in a older American car, think it was a '68 camaro. It worked because the older cars had thicker skin than newer cars. Never seen it tried on a 944.
