Raceware Studs, worth it?

What are your opinions on raceware head studs and rod bolts. I'm reassembling my 968 engine and am wondering if they are worth it for this engine, probably the head studs are, I'm wondering about the rod bolts. I'm also looking for suggestions on bearings and piston rings. Should I stick with OEM, or is there a better alternative. I want to build a solid motor for possible future modifications, maybe forced induction. Thanks,

I asked Powerhaus when I bought my rebuild head about getting Raceware Head Studs. They said they do not recommend them for 944 Turbos. They said the original studs are pretty solid, and are a bitch to remove. (not worth it) They do recommend Raceware studs for some 911s, however, because the original studs are weak. I would guess the 968 studs are strong like the 951. I'd leave them alone! <img src="graemlins/nono.gif" border="0" alt="[nono]" />

Raceware makes nice products. I like the ARP procducts better, personal I guess.
If you plan to turbo that engine I'd be looking for a set of rods. The 968 rods weren't the best items Porsche ever built.
I plan to do a 968 turbo in the Fall and the factory rods, bolts and pistons will be dust collectors.

I put Racewares on mine, and on my fathers 911. I think they are top notch.
Stock head studs are known to stretch if you torque them a few times. The 3rd time I installed my head with the stock one, I felt a give on one of them. After removal, it was amost 3mm longer than the others. I am pretty sure that it would not have torque right.
For removal, you can double nut the stud and heat a little with a propane torch. Mine came right out.

Perry hit it right on the head <img src="graemlins/c.gif" border="0" alt="[ouch]" /> (excuse the pun), the standard studs are stretch bolts, and in theory should be replaced every time the head is off. In practice, things can be a little different...... do you want to risk it?
Also, Garrity was on about some studs a while back, I remember they were cheaper the raceware, but not much more
