I got the adapter in the mail today. It works but the length needs to be shortened up just a little. Off to the machine shop tomorrow.

Now I am getting really ambitious. I am working on installing a Becker head unit out of a 997 and I am trying to get all the multi function buttons to work. If it all goes well, I may need to find some new use for the tiptronic buttons as the stereo will be controlled by the normal multifunction buttons.

I got the adapter shortened and installed the wheel. None of the wires are connected yet but the wheel is mounted and looks great.

I've been out of luck picking up a Becker head unit. I'm in the hunt and I'm sure I'll find one sooner or later.

The other day I found myself looking at some 997 door panels/dash and thinking..."yea, that'll fit".

Next step to this project?

I got the adapter shortened and the wheel is in the car. No horn or airbag yet and the stereo idea is not moving fast either. At least the wheel looks really good.

I need someone to buy my 968 CS replica wheel or my Momo tuner wheel so I can justify the price of a Becker head unit out of a 997.

I changed directions.

I bought a Blaupunkt Honolulu head unit and a Blaupunkt RC08 IR remote.

The PO or whomever installed the previous system was an idiot. I don't know if they were trying to install a sound system or they failed a knitting class. Pathetic wire management!

A few changes. I wish I had more space to install the amp for better cooling but I don't plan to run it hard so heat shouldn't be a big issue.

It bugs me that I had to install the amp with the words upside down. Is that OCD since no one will normally see it?

Go to one of the sports supply houses and grab some hockey stick tape.

Looks and works just like the oem tape.

I got it all installed and the left front and right rear output channels don't put out anything.
