Post Hesitation

I have a 87 951 with K27#6 and autothority chips. This has always run with some hesitation at the upper rev ranges but this has recently got worse. It now will hit 1 bar boost and then cough a bit loose boost regain it loose it etc. When i accelerate at partial throttle it doesn't happen. Any advice as to what i should do first? Thanks

the same thing happened to me. at first i thought it was the fuel pump, but it ended up being the fuel pressure regulator and accompanying valve. i also replaced the ignition wires because they too may have been causing the hesitation. i got all my parts at vertex for a great price. my car runs fantastic now.

hope that helps.
