Post Turbo valves

I'm just bored at work and wondered something. Why is it that the 968 is 16v and yet the 968Turbo was 8v. Is their some impracticallity to having more valves in a turbine engine? I understand the basic principals of a turbine induction system yet the actuall details I lack. Infact I understand the basic principal of what the valves does in a motor, but those details I also lack. I Shoulda studied mechanical engineering, it's not like I use my studies where I work anyway.

No, it is stupid that they made a 8V for the turbo. (BTW, one of the 13 968TS is down the road from me!!!).

The stock T had 306?HP. The N/A had 236 at the flywheel. Powerhaus put a turbo or two on the 16V that produced 532HP at the fly, along with other mods that had to be done. Maybe that was why. They wanted to tone it down a bit.? 500+ HP!!!

You lucky dog! I'd love to live down the street from one of those 968T's. But hey, that Powerhaus place is right down the street from me... Now to start counting the change in my piggy bank. one... two... three... this could take awhile...
