diff between 86 and 89 951 rack??
#4
I have installed these things twice and they all looked a little different. Nothing big though. The pressure lines are routed a little differently and they are connected by an allen head on some and a hex head on others. So that MIGHT explain the discrepencies, I dont know. I am pretty sure the S2 uses a rack that is not interchangeable. I would try and contact ZF somehow if I were you. Sorry I can't really help.

The information I have is that all the racks are interchangeable. I don't know the specifics of the changes ZF may have made over the years. The only real differences I've seen is the tie-rod ends (longer on ABS offset cars - 87+) and the use of the updated hex head banjo bolts (you definitely want these over the interior Allen type)
Anywho, the two parts listed are 944.347.011.22 and .24 (early - late). Rebuilts do not specify which you will receive. Also, the na/T/S/S2/968 all use the same.
Good Luck!
