Mine separated at the same place. I just squirted some silicone in there, trimmed the excess, and left it alone. It's been about a month and it hasn't started leaking/squeaking yet.

Hey Shawn, I would double check your hatch pin seats as well. Those are a source for rattling. Would be a good idea to tackle those while you R&R the glass. Only944.com has new aftermarket seats for the pins that several Rennlisters have used with success. Planning to tackle it myself.
