Default New member intro

I've lurked long enough, off and on for several years, so I thought I should introduce myself.
I've had a 944 for 4 years now and have met great people both on and off the track because of it. When I bought mine I did so because I really enjoyed driving my brother's but we both wanted to drive at the same time so sharing wasn't working. Going to the track had never entered my mind but the friends I met through PCA encouraged me to try it and I was hooked. With my brother's support I have relearned my modest wrenching skills and have been fortunate to find great support for the things I either fear to try (timing belt) or lack time to do.

My current favorite picture

I've had so much fun that I got a second Porsche. A Cayman, but I can't give up the 944. It still has plenty to teach me and is equally fun to drive.

Thanks for the welcome.

Friday I did my first fully solo DE at Road America. I have been confusing speed with skill in my own opinion of my skill level. I definitely belong in the intermediate group. I wasn't even the slowest car in the group. I was however the only female driver for the whole event.

The picture was taken in early June at Blackhawk. The cup car behind me is new to it's owner. He started the day in novice and moved up to intermediate for the afternoon.

Winter - the Cayman is green
