Default Late Strut Top Mounts on an 86 Turbo?

Any issues? I test fitted and they bolt right up, just concerned if the angle of the bearing being slightly different may cause problems. They sure look like a much better mount that the early ones I have fitted.

They are totally swappable, and compensated for when doing the alignment. I've used both early mounts on a late car, and late mounts on an early car. Its worth noting that if you are using early mounts on a 85.5+ car you will need to drill a hole in the mounting flange to fit the centering pin that is on the body.

btw I am currently running VW fox mounts on my car, they were ~14 dollars a piece and I like them.

They are completely compatible, but beware they are not as easy to refurbish. The 83-86 have a replaceable strut mount rubber + bearing assembly that's less than $100/ea. No such luck for the 87+. If you have a late set that are in good shape and the bearings are good, then probably an upgrade. Otherwise, if you had to buy, skip it.

Good luck!
