Unhappy scraped air dam

Well, i'm kinda bummed, i ever-so-lightly scraped a parking kurb today. Just a couple of little scratches on the air dam area.....I already touched them up and they're not that noticible....but still, I've got this really guilty feeling on my mind.....got to hate that. Any of you guys make this mistake? Hurts huh? oh well.....btw, anyone have a bra they want to get ride of for their 944....this salt is killing my front! thanks.

Yeah, I hate that feeling. I had a spinout about a year ago and slightly cracked the corners of mine and the right rocker panel was dented as well. Luckily, nothing else happened to the car as it was a 70+ mph incident. At least you were able to touch it up.

Yeah, I did my first large (i.e. car vs bike) paintjob scattered out over several months last year. Finally got the car together on 31dec2001 By 12jan2002 I'd lightly scraped the right lower airdam side against a curve. Not bad, and easy to touch up, but considering what a bit it is to remove/prep/paint/install, very annoying.
Partially trashing months of your own work can get right under your skin.

" As I said in my earlier press statement, I have not recently, or ever, to the best of my knowledge, scrapped the air dam on either my present 968 or my former 944. And I firmly deny that the fiberglass cloth and epoxy resin that have been found in my garage were put there with either my knowledge or consent. Besides, they didn't really work all that well."

"That depends on how you define 'scrape'."

Jim, uncrossing his fingers behind his back now....
