Default Powerflex bushings

I'm looking to replace all the major suspension bushings on my '90 S2, and am considering using Powerflex. From searches here, as well as word of mouth from friends who have used them, the feedback seems pretty positive. A nice blend of the benefits of delrin without all the squeaks and rattles.

What I haven't seen much of in posts about whether people are using the street (purple) or race (black) bushings, however, and if they are happy with their choice in terms of both performance and ride quality.

The S2 doesn't exactly ride like a plush limo (not that it's all that bad), but I'm not looking for a buckboard ride either. I use the car as a DD, and do 2 - 3 DE's a year so ride quality is part of the consideration for me.

Thanks for the input!

I have a mix of powerflex purple and some other ebay brands that are much harder in the front of my 84, so I can't really comment on ride quality but they've held up against my abuse.

I have the black Powerflex bushings throughout, except for the spring plate bushings which are the Elephant Racing polybronze. I did recently install a set of the Powerflex spring plate bushings on my brother's '89TS, which is a street car, and he is happy with the results. No noise, and much more precise suspension movement. PM me and I can give you more info. Mike
