Default Oil Light DOESN'T work.

Apparently I have the opposite problem of everyone else. My oil light doesn't work. When you turn the car on the oil light doesn't illuminate. Checked the bulb and it's good (even changed it).

Oil pressure gauge works fine. It's bounces sporadically every now and then but only for a second. Any thoughts?

Also it's an '84 NA.
