ALMS going on today @ Laguna Seca

I'm sure you guys/gals would dig the Speedvision World Challenge race after the main race. Very cool & interesting to see the Porsche 928s race against Ferrari, BMW E36 M3s & M Coupe, Acura NSX/Integra, Audi A4, Porsche 993/996, and a Corvette or two.
For those not in the know, the American Le Mans race features 4 classes that race simultaneously: LMP900, LMP675, GTS, and GT. LMP is "Le Mans Prototype" (based on kg.) and for the most part, it includes the Audi R8s, Panoz, Cadillac, Lola, and Reynard. The GTS class has the Vipers racing against Corvettes and Saleens. My personal favorite is the GT class which has the Porsche GT3-R/RS cars and the *new* BMW M3 V8 cars (@400 HP+) machines. Awesome cars.
The races are shown on Speedvision World Challenge later on...

I watched the coverage on NBC. I turned on the TV @ 4pm and there was golf on. I was like...golf? who the heck wants to watch golf instead of ALMS? I think it was like 30 mins later that racing coverage finally started. Unfortunately my cable provider doesn't provide speedvision. 
My favorite is the GT class as well, although it was kinda funny when I watched a 911 GT3R pass a viper (GT class).

the vipers (gts) sometimes let the gt cars pass because they are exactly that- they are in a different class, hence a different race. however, in this race, it looks like the vipers did poorly. saleen won, then 2 corvettes. looks like "bmw motorsport" clinched spots 1 and 2 and alex job racing took third with their Porsche 911 GT3 RS in gt class. it's those v8s kicking *** again.
