Cool

Heck, I wave at VW beatle guys, I usually get wierd looks, I guess they don't get the connection. New P drivers, Boxter, Carrera, whatever are "to good" to wave. Old 911 drivers are usually cool because cars need maintance, and wrench turners either Water or air cooled can relate. 944 guy's talk wave and have sorta a brotherhood going, We are the iligitimate children of the "TRUE" porsches and us "underdogs" gotta stick together. 914 guys seem cool, they are also the abandond breed, Plus most of those guys are conversion freaks and speak my language. The only 928 boys I've spoke to are usually looking for a cheaper mechanic to work on there car. Last but not least, 356 folks. Never had the privilage to see one in person. I'd wave and let a tear roll out of respect. Those are about the only Porsche I'd never modify, If I got one of those it'd stock and concourse all the way. One word "heritage". Those are my feelings,

Hey Craig I have a couple of questions for you,by mexican do you mean Latino ,Hispanic or are you positive he was from Mexico and what makes you think he did'nt know anything about porsche's is it because hes from Mexico or maybe he just did'nt speak your language.Either way I find your comment very offensive and narrow minded, not everyone that speaks spanish or has dark skin is Mexican and you cant assume a person is an ignorant just because they speak a diferent language

Leonel,
You're the one here giving Mexicans a bad name. How can you ever expect to gain respect when you can't communicate your thoughts in a coherent manner? I laughed my butt off, it was so ironic.

Let me ask you, can you assume a person is an ignorant if they can't write?

Of course, as in the case of Craig944, these options need not be mutually exclusive...

Leonel,
Read my post again. I never assumed that you are Mexican. I only said that you give Mexicans a bad name.
By the way, 'Pig Latin' doesn't qualify as another language.

If he's not Mexican, how could he possibly be giving Mexicans a bad name?

Hey... well hardly any 944 owners wave at me when I'm in my 87 924S. I went to a local Porsche meet last summer, and none of the 944 owners knew what my car actually was

Just a little note: I try to wave at most people in nice cars, and get the same varied response. When I am in my 944, for some reason when I see another one that looks to be in a well kept condition, I follow them and when they finally stop... I really check out the car and try to find out as much as I can about the car. If you see another 944 stop and chat, most people are pretty cool about it when your cars are the same or close to it.
