I can't really comment on the amount of 968s plagued with the issue. Don't have nearly as much experience with those. Just didn't want someone to stumble in here and think every 944/951 had this issue.

Can I get a copy of the template? I had to convert to manual brakes for my v8 swap and I've noticed my fire wall flex a little. I also have a hybrid spec stage 2 clutch...6 puck on one side, full disk on the other....so that might effect things a little too.

Mine was flexing too...i could feel it in the pedal so i built a reinforcing thick aluminium sheet.

You mean the stuff that happens only after 20 years of a car rotting outside and then thw new owner puts non factory hatch struts on it? Right..........

My first 928 was in 1978 and I still own one today.

I've seen pictures of the drive shaft but never one in person..... You know why? Because it's not exactly a high failure rate part. Hundreds of thousands of miles in a 928 and knowing 928 owners for 35 years and I have yet to see one

So, not sure what your point is here.
