Post Tip on changing pedal pads

My post on changing the fuel pump reminded me of this.

Ever try to replace the rubber pads on your brake and clutch pedals? Trying to get the new ones on while cantalievered uncomfortably and upside-down into the footwell is no fun.

Place the new pads in a toaster oven at 150-170 degrees for 10-15 minutes until the new pads get good and warm. Once they're warm, they are super pliable. In this state, they go onto the pedals super easy.

You just like putting stuff in toaster ovens, don't you? Admit it.
