Post Delay for rear wiper?

Has anyone configured a delay for the rear hatch wiper? I'm in a lot of stop and go traffic and it would be handy. My Passat has a programmable relay, you turn it on, then off, wait up to 30 seconds and turn it on again, then your wait time is the delay. I was think of rigging something like that in. Any thoughts?

I built an adjustable delay kit and installed it on mine, I installed it in the trunk area where it connects to the wiring harness, I leave it set at about 7 seconds, never felt the need to adjust it.

Excellent solution. On some older cars I used to purchase a unit from J.C Whitney and install it between the regular wiper switch and the wiper motor. It can be installed just about anywhere, but if you really want it to be adjustable, it has to be readily available.

Also, a number of the surplus electronic places such as All Electronics (www.allelectronics.com) sometimes have interval timers that could be cobbled to do the job for about $10. Might want to check.
