Post DME Chip question

My 1987 951 failed smog. We've checked everything except putting original chips back in. Problem is I don't know which goes in DME or KLR. The original chips have the following part #'s 1267355138 and 1267355235. Any Help.

Well I took your input of the 138 chip being the DME. Unfortunatly its was wrong. A further note to others changing chips, if your not carefull and you get them in the wrong processor it takes the DME relay with it.

DME = 1267355235
KLR = 1267355138

I fully accept this as being my fault for not second checking the informatiom myself but?

Why would you answer if you don't know. This leaves me a little suspect of some of the other 951 experts out there.

A would be expert answered my initial question, Then after finding out they were wrong they removed their post/answer from the board without even a sorry about that. Thats low. I didn't get their login but is there any way to find out so I can warn others about taking input from them?

1st - Don't look a gift horse in the mouth

2nd - If you think a chip change will enable you to pass emissions you have another thing coming

3rd - Retard the timing via the DME and you will pass with flying colors

4th - Don't believe everything you read, especially if its free

5th - Good luck - if you need any help with passing CA emissions after retarding the timing let me know as I have put 3 944s through that failed their first time.
