This Friday my wife and I will be leaving the DC area with Dougs951 to go to Traverse City, MI and the 2013 Porsche Parade. We booked our condo there literally weeks after last year's Parade so luckily we'll have accommodations on-site. If anyone else is driving from this area, shoot me a PM with your contact info (name/phone #) and hopefully we can link up.

This year we're only bringing the 968 so hopefully you'll see us in the concours or out on a drive. We'll be volunteering while we're there, be sure to come say hi!

I'll be periodically updating this thread during our drives there and back and while we're at Parade. So, if you can't attend, you can live vicariously through Rennlist!

Yep, did it last year and had so much fun decided to do it again. Unfortunately we won't be taking 2 cars again (logistics ) or going 5500 miles (thank god!) but we're really looking forward to seeing parts of the country we've never been to.

Anybody coming up through SE MI on the way north is free to contact us for emergency help (tools, enclosed trailer, etc.). Or to just stop by the shop and bench race for a while.

We're leaving on Sunday morning. We have a car up there already, and will be driving two up. The 937 will be in the historics display on Monday. Stop by and say hey!

Quick update, we reached Michigan. Side note: 11 hours in a cabriolet with the top down will cause sunburn in places that don't normally get it

Well, I wouldn't say that our first concours went well but we had fun seeing the reaction of folks as they walked through. We were disqualified in our class because we didn't bring our COA or window sticker. Lesson learned. The judges were nice and gave us a ton of tips to be more competitive.

Due to time, technical difficulties (the Internet here sucks!) and our schedule we probably won't be updating with pics until we get home.

I don't envy you on your trans swap. That's one of those jobs that I would rather pay for than do myself.
