A/C not filling

A/C not filling
Had my compressor sealed last week:
Received my compressor back, vac it down and went to charge it. I only took about 3 oz then stopped. Checked gauges low of 90 high of 20 does this indicate a open expansion valve. I am assuming this is buried under the dash or should I be looking for something else?

Start charging by turning off the motor and opening the high and low ports, then let the car take as much refrigerant as possible. Then shut off the high side (IMPORTANT) and start the motor, letting the car suck in more refrigerant from the low port. Then continue to charge via the low part to the proper pressures.

By chance did the conversion fittings wind up on the wrong hoses? The guy
that converted mine had them backwards. I think I did a high side charge
on the" low" side to get it to work.
It took 1.6 pounds to fill mine up..

I tried to charge mine recently and it had 70 lbs. pressure on the high side and over 100 lbs. on the low side. I changed the expansion valve and it fixed the problem. I think my compressor is a little weak. Now my low pressure is 55 and the high pressure is 175. My car is an 87 and you get to the expansion valve by removing the top cover from the blower housing under the hood.

Hate to bug this forum but the most knowledgeable reside here.
Replaced expansion valve, flushed and added new parallel condenser, low side was 70 high was 110 before the work. I sent the compressor out to seal it sat for 10 years. I had a hard time finding the correct expansion valve but which looks like the correct one.
Rebuilder said compressor looks good when they sealed it. The only thing left is the compressor hate to keep dumping money into this car.
Tried to fill it after 2-hour vacuum but at 70 lbs on the low rising to 80 it would not fill high side is still at 110. This sure sounds like a compressor but could the wrong expansion valve cause this?
This is a dealer installed unit not factory A/C made by supplemental.

What engine RPM were those pressures taken at? Also, what was the outside temperature at that time?

Temp was at 90 in Florida no kidding!
I replaced the expansion valve the pressures indicate a weak compressor or a blockage. With my new expansion valve the same pressures were present after the repairs. Seems like everyone has an issue with the 924 A/C system as far as efficiency that is why I changed the condenser to a parallel flow thought this would make a difference in the cooling, but still having other issues.
I have all the tools to charge and examine the system just wanted some feedback on this. With a 70-80 Lb low side no way is the system going to fill.
