Default Changing Heater Valve and Hoses

Hey guys I'm planning on changing my valve and hoses today and I was wondering can it be done without removing intake or cam tower? I got the metal audi valve to replace my plastic one. Thanks for the assistance guys.

I changed mine without removing anything else. It's not the easiest place to get to, but it can be done. cover any openings in the top of the bellhousing.

CyCloNe! I replaced mine a few months ago without having to remove anything.

Would you mind sharing a image, and a part number of your metal audi valave.

yes sir, I'll post it this afternoon after work. It's a little different than stock but will still work, not having to worry about coolant spraying every where is a good thing lol.

T.I.A.

Coolant spraying every where could equal a bad day indeed, along with replacing thermal switch.

don't forget your lower radiator hose. it's subject to a lot of stress.

@ three years it's time.

the top hose can for a lot longer (and first sign of failure will be a pinhole and steam.... w/ plenty of time to get home and install the new one).

if the lower hose fails, you'll be limping to the nearest garage.
