Not sure about the BMW, but would recommend a Honda Prelude with 2.0 liter engine from 1987 to 1991. Average power, excellent cornering, many upgrades available if wanted. Drive my 87 Prelude to 296,000 miles and it still didn't burn any oil or have any major problems.

 

Hey, that sounds pretty sweet. Whats the condition of the car? I'd get something like that but I'd rather save the cash for my 944. By the way, where in Canada are you? My buddy wants a 325 for cheaps and he is gonna modify it.

I have yet to hear anything good about the E engine in the 325. If you are looking for a fun winter car, check out the 325iX. Its AWD. That’s what I use in the winter and its a blast. Great traction combined with the 30/60 power split lets you hang the tail out with confidence. They were mfg'ed '88 to '91, prices are great.

Well, I was thinking of 325ix originally, but then I realized that the cost to fix the car if it ever breaks is ridiculous!
AWD seems more expensive. Hence, my choice of sticking with the 325i, or is.
Honestly...I don't know...maybe I'll stick with the bus for winter

The difference is that all the wheels spin in "AWD" while only 4 spin in "4WD".

 

Well I definately need AWD then!
