Post injector reseal kits?

I got an injector reseal kit (my NA 86 944) from Advance auto parts and the hat was blue and a bit taller than the orange caps. It looks like it will work just stick into the intake hole about 10 or 15 thousands more i would guess, it snaps on ok. Anyone used the blue hats or any ones a bit taller like this and if so did they work alright? Where can you buy the OEM orange ones?

thanks

I ran a set of blue caps on mine for about 5000 miles and noticed no diffrence.

When I did the rebuild, I got the proper set from NAPA of all places. (Forgot to get it from Paragon, and ran out of time).

The ones NAPA had wre orange and made by Bosch. The blue ones were a touch taller and were made by TRW. I cannot recall where I got them from.

I just did a reseal on my injectors with the blue ones. They weren't taller, I think the snap ring on the inside locates them at a different position on the injector. If you look at the bottom the injector pin doesn't stick thru as far. I got mine at a local import house. I didn't notice any problems. Don't forget to lube the top "o" rings before pushing on the fuel rail or you might roll a seal!

Your local Porsche dealer has the "Orange Caps" in the Injector Valve Gasket kit - part number 944-110-901-00. Kit ran $3.91 each at my dealer, or $15.64 for a set. Probably could have saved 10% if I'd flashed my PCA membership card.
