Post Who thinks the new classifieds suck?

I liked the old set-up where I could see 944 items.. I don't like how it is mixed w/ all the other porsche items...

Come on now... some of you remember when we went to this new board. At first, the majority hated the format. We cussed and swore and some people left. Hell.. I did not like it.

Now.. I think we all find it easier and better to look at. Give it some time.

(Although I would like to hop back on that old board for a month or 2 just for the good old times!!)

In defense of the new "sucky" ad format, the "member" ads are still sorted out by model type the way they used to be. It's those freeloading non-member ads who get lumped into one big pile. I suppose it is just another benefit of being a member!
It is harder to scan thru, for sure.

Regarding the old board format, I liked how replies could take on a title of their own, so you knew before you viewed it what the posts were about, especially on wandering threads.

Oh well, progress marches on.

PS..anyone need some OEM black alloy lug nuts? $50/20!

Suck-amundo! I had to spend 5 minutes just trying to decipher where exactly the 944 parts for sale were; and that was just for the members. Take another 2hours trying to sift through all the jumbled up non-member ads. To make the quote,"The time of all the FREE Dot.com days are over." just shows that how a web site that was meant to be for FUN can turn against itself and its whole reason for existing in the first place! SAD.....

Maybe we'll get used to it, but just navigating it (if we knew what is where) is more complex.
As a seller, membership is beneficial. As a buyer, this sucks.

I don't mind the new setup at all. A little different, yes, but not bad.

Not only does the new format suck(member vs "public")the "MEMBER" section is weak...
I can't imagine the rennlist management think this is a good thing ... it's embarrasing.

As a frequent "scanner" of the classifieds, I too find the "new" format more difficult to navigate--bring back the old.

It doesn't really work for members, if ALL the ads aren't visible in the members section!

That is, of course, unless it is meant to service members who are SELLERS above those who are SHOPPERS...

I can't FIND a way that it is better. My "agent" is an idiot, as well....

Sucks...and we all know why it was done. To make money. Take away all the PC reasons and it was to make people join, i.e. spend money. Not that joining is bad, it isn't - just be honest.
