GOT IT!!

Here is the story - for you guys when you remove yours in the future:

Glue is not an issue.

If you look at the A-pillar, you will see three screw covers. The fastener nearest the dash and the one in the middle of the pillar are no-brainers. The TOP ONE, and chances are yours is like mine (this has been confirmed on 2 other cars thusfar), will appear to have NO FASTENER in the hole. This is technically true. The fastener is ABOVE the hole, screwed in vertically toward the roof - IT IS COMPLETELY CONCEALED IN THE FOAM CUSHIONING! I had to probe around in there to find the head and remove it.

It appears that a decision was made, post-production of the pillars, to secure the uppermost fastener vertically. The pillar is well-made, foam and vinyl over a metal core it seems.

The three fasteners are philips-headed sheet metal screws. You will need a stubby to remove the one closest to the dash.

I will finally be shipping the pillar off tomorrow morning, and will include this post in the shipment. If the above is unclear, feel free to contact me and I will get you through it!

Sounds like you guys have a nice project going here. Since this sounds like a one time deal here I am thinking of joining in on the deal.I am just starting out with my 88 951S so I dont know alot about mods and such. From what I have read on this board I think my first two mods (if I can ever get struts for the front of my car ) will be an ignition system and stage IV MAF kit. From what I have seen so far I don't think I need any guages for either of those mods but not totaly sure. What are some of the things you guys are going to be useing it for?

well, it'll be a month and a half or so until we have to worry about ordering. At that time, I think you'll simply indicate to the company that you want one, and purchase at that time...

These should be nice pods from what indications I'm getting...
