Post re-paint

What have people paid to have their porsches repainted. I have an 86 944 with only 50K on it but the blk paint could use some reviving.

Thanks

I recently painted my 87 N/A. It was changed to guard red at that time. Used to be an ugly metallic burgundy. Anyways, I had all windows pulled and trim at that time. In addition i had the door sills painted and i had it color sanded down to almost zero orange peel. Some folks will tell you that you cna paint a car for 1k....but the reality is you get what you pay for. The shop i went to did great prep work(i had lots of little dings and chips) and they did a lot of work color sanding(this is $$$). Anyways, i paid 4.2k and the guy said he wouldn't have done the job again for that price...so expect 4-4500 for a solid repaint. I'm also in CA so prices are a bit higher out here.

My front end was resprayed last spring (collision damage) and I got an estimate of $2200 to do the rest to match. I figure the whole car would have been $3k-$3500 from a shop that IMHO does good work at a reasonable price.
