Post Mark on the wall of #3, Opinions?

I pulled the oil pan the other day to have a look inside as I am replacing the oil pan gasket anyways...After all the engine is on a stand...All the cylinders are perfect except for a mark in #3...
http://boards.rennlist.com/upload/Picofcylinder3.JPG

I managed to get a finger in there, don't ask, and felt the mark...There is no grooving or gouging at all...It's perfectly smooth for as far as I could reach...I also placed a probe in the cylinder and couldn't feel any groove...Leakdown results were great with under 5% on all cylinders...

My initial reaction is not to worry as the leak down was good...Should I pull the head and have a look from the top...It would be alot easier to get my hand in there from the top but I am almost subscribing to the theory of, "If it's not broken the don't fix it"...Then if I pulled the head I could put a new wide fire gasket in...Although it may have one already...

Any opinion would be appreciated

Your image has insufficient resolution to make analysis meaningful.

Try wiping it with a petro-based solvent. Looks like carbon?
