Default 968 Caster bushes into 944S2 Do they fit???????????

I'm about to order some replacement rubber caster bushes for my S2 and have heard that 968 bushes may fit... If so, what is the difference between the 968 & the S2 bush?. Are they a direct fit?

Next question: Is there any consensus on mixing bush compunds on the front control arms?.... i.e. urethane on the front of the arms and 968 rubber casters on the rear?? My reasoning is that the fronts are locating pivot points and so may be less affected by a more rigid bushing. As the rear of arm bush also performs an offest caster function they could benefit from greater levels of compliance. Or is it just as good to keep rubbers F&R..... No track work on this car btw. Thanks.

The 968 rear mount will fit just fine, its an upgrade, less rubber, and is a desirable street mount for all cars with alu arms. Rubber or poly at the front, makes little difference imo.

I went for he Elephant Racing Sport hardness front bushes ( both of hem). Will be same for rear suspension with poly bronze spring plate bushes.

Road car, occasional track.

FWIW I'm not sure the ER 'sport' hardness is actually any different from the OE 968 caster blocks. I ordered them for my car last year, and they come with factory porsche part numbers for the OE 968 blocks. So, a great improvement over the 944 stock blocks, but not an improvement over the regular 968 blocks.

If someone wants to prove me wrong please jump in.

Since you aren't tracking, I'd say just go OEM rubber
