Default Fuch Pic request

It looks like now I am starting to do a budget restoration of my 951. The exterior looks pretty good(minus the dent in the hood) and I am looking to fix up my Fuchs. They overall are in decent shape, but could use some paint, and a little TLC on the lip. I am thinking of polishing the lip to an almost chrome like appearance and painting the centers matte black. I polishing the lip possible or will it take a lifetime to do? Any tips are appreciated.

I would like some pics of a fuch wheel matte black center with a polished lip.

I think these are Matt or satin black:

Off course the size of the polished lip on Fuchs is exponentially proportional to the price:

...oh and here is one of mine close up, satin black & polished rim. Took a great deal of time taking all the original finish off then gradually polishing with 320-2000 grit paper and then a red polishing paste. btw these have about 3 yrs of street wear on them since finishing and could do with a good clean and polish again.

I like the "spoke" polished for my Guards Red one, with the black on the center and set back portion and of course the polished lip. Like the other pic.

But that being said, yours look great on your car Ernie . That is very nicely done and finishes out the car and the look perfectly.

You can definitely polish them... just takes a lot of time and effort. Worth it I'd say

This looks a little to easy, but I am crazy enough to try it. I will be plasti-dipping the centers to see if I will like the matte black finish.
