Default Transaxle Options for a V8 Swap?

What would be the best Transaxle for use in an Early 944 if going with a nearly stock LS1 swap.
I have been looking at the AOS Transaxle used in the S2, Would it be strong enough to hold an LS Together?, Will it mount to the early torque tube and early transaxle mounting point?

I'm using a turbo S trans in my 944LS car. Will bolt directly to the early T-tube but would suggest that you consider a good trans mount like the one sold by xchop.

S2 has very short gearing for the LS swap. Unless the car is going to be a dedicated track car with no street use I'd use a Turbo or Turbo S transmission.
