Where is the fuel filter in a 944S2?

It should be by the right rear wheel mounted to the same cross-member as the transaxle.

Yep, it's an aluminum cylinder a little bigger than a Coke can, just inboard of the right rear shock, secured to its bracket with a big hose clamp. Helps to have two 19-mm open-end wrenches for the fittings. Good luck!
