Hey people, So I finaly drilled the rest of the 8mm cheese heads out and got the pressure plate off. Now Im scared to push the flywheel bolts to much, I hate the thought of using an easy-out. Does anyone have suggestions on how to get them out without damageing them?

Torch 'em!
Well, actually, heat them up. If you use a light, hand held propane torch to heat the area around the bolt, they should come out much easier. Remember, it's just that initial "snap" that is critical. These bolts have had a lot of heat cycling in their lifetime. One more won't hurt them. It's safest to replace them anyway when you are in the rebuild phase. I learned this the hard way a few years back when a flywheel "came from together!" Luckily it was not my car nor did I do the work.

I just took all mine out, no problem. Because of bad experiences like yours I bought a manual impact tool from Sears. Before I tried the bolts I slammed the impact tool with a hammer. Worth the $20. It also worked with the pressure plate bolts.

I took mine out with a ratchet. Worst case scenario you have to grind the heads off. After that you can pop the flywheel off and take the bolts out with your fingers (there won't be any tension left on them).

The best way I have found to remove cheese head pressure plate bolts is to break each one loose one at a time and lightly snug them back up. By snugging them back up they hold the plate down so the it doesn't take the entire load of the plate on one or two remaining bolts.
