Post 944 tint

Has anyone got a photo of a 944 with tinted windows? I have never seen one with tint but am interested in tinting my 1989 944na due mostly to the harsh summer heat here. I would hate to waste the money though and it look like crap. I know the rear window would present problems.
Thanks for any info and/or suggestions.

I have no photo, sorry. but my 85.5 is metallic blue. was originally from NC.. and it is tinted. sides and back. I get compliments on it..it does look better IMHO. with the tint.. Mine is semi dark tinted. enough at a distance it looks black.. though I do have to say when IT is night I have to double check everything cause it is hard to see...

I'm gonna take some picks of my car when it gets out of the shop, getting the tranny swapped. I have legal limit tint all around. It cost me 180 bucks, and it looks real nice. I got the lifetime warranteed tint, which has a slight amount of reflection to it, and I have a black car, so the windows reflect just as much as the paint, and it looks GORGEOUS. Also, I live in New ORleans, and it keeps my car a lot cooler inside, I have a black on black so it used to get really toasty inside. I'll post some pics whenever I get my car out of the shopl

Ok, I tried to add a realy nice side view photo of a red 951 with tint to this post but I couldn't figure how to do it. Sorry techies...I'm lame at doing this stuff. I read how to do it if I was attaching something from the net, i.e. http// blah, blah. But I have the photo saved on my PC. So anybody want to explain this (in English) to the lame old guy?

Cool

I have tinted windows on my white 87 924S. They look especially good on a lighter colored car.

dan- i think you can use http://www.webshots.com or some similar type of image posting site. once you have your images on there, you link the URL "using the "image" button. The alternative is to merely upload -or transfer- the images to a personal web site, if you have one - if you don't, ask your isp if they offer this service.

best of luck,

Here is my old 87 924 S with tinted windows. This was the legal limit in Florida I think.

And hey, if you want to post a picture you need to have it somewhere on the web. Then you click "IMAGE" and enter the location of it, http://whatever_the_location_is. Then it will appear. But you have to have it on the web somewhere. I don't think you can upload with this ubb.

Dan, if you'll look at the top of the front page on the discussion group, you'll find an "upload photo" to click; it's been a while since we did the "pictures of your car" thread, but I used it then and the instructions were pretty easy to follow.

Jim, in who's home "damcomputer" is legally one work....

Here's a pretty nice looking 944:<p>
I'm actually tinting the trunk window and both quarter windows tomorrow. Unfortunately, Minnesota only allows 50% tint, which is a lot lighter than it sounds. I'll put up a picture tomorrow.

K. Wells, is that your car? If so, what's the % or number or however they measure darkness? I have a black car too (with black seats) and was afraid that tinted windows would just be too much black.

Question

Is it very hard for the tint installer to tint the rear glass? I have seen other cars with curved rear glass that have visable lines in the tint where they had to piece it together. It looks like crap. Anyone here who has the rear glass tinted have these lines?
