944 tint
#16
Most tint materials come only so wide. how well the seam is hidden, is directly related to the skill of the installer. I don't know if you can even get a sheet of tint large enough to do the hatch in one piece, but again the installer would have to be very good to handle a single piece that large.

all I can say is only use a really good installer and only the best tint, 3M? I had to use a razor blade to peel the old tint crap off my prev 944NA it sucked. With the Hatch's internal defroster you have to be esp careful removing it. So if your going to do it do it well the first time. And the back hatch will take 2-3 sheets to cover it. Find and expert and pay the top dollar.

Steven,
I had the windows tinted on my old 924, and for the rear hatch several sheets were required to be spliced together. Take your time and put the splices on the defroster elements, it is slow-going, but worth it in final appearance. Jon, That black 944 doesn't look too bad, except for the 30 ft. "Porsche" crest on the rear hatch! I guess it is like the ricers say yellow=speed. Well, I've got to go now and install my "In memory of..." sticker on my hatch
