Fikse FM 10 Wheels fit?
Have a set of Fikse FM 10 Wheels that I would like to fit on my 86 944.
These are 17x10 and 17x9 with about I believe a 55mm offset. They fit 88+ 944.
I have an 86 944T that I am wanting to fit these on, I tried a 1 inch spacer, but with 11" wide rear tires they rube outside fender when compressed.
Advice, options, suggestions greatly appreciated. Willing to sell, trade, etc to make this work.

You could try a more narrow spacer, those look like 295 semi compound you have there, but I can't call it. I would say try some different spacers to get it to work... those wheels are definitely worth the trouble to get them to fit. Not a huge fan of spacers, but I have run them before with no issues.

I have the same 86 year and run FM-10's in 18 mm offset in 17x8 size in front with plenty of rooms and 23 mm offset in 17x9 for the rear,. I did have to roll the fender lip in the rear slightly to get it to fit just right. I could not get the 52 or 55 offsets to my liking with spacers.

Smaller spacers may help, however that will mean changing the studs as well. If you use an adapter type spacer the hardware will prevent the wheel from going all the way on the car.

I've got Fikse FM10s on my 84, but I don't know the size or the whether it's got spacers. A PO put them on, but not the one I bought the car from. I can't tell if he rolled the fenders, but if he did, it was a damn good job. Hope it works out for you. I love my wheels.

I think Fikse's solution would be the best bet IMO. If you can spend a little more to get it done right, that would be the best solution... as long as you don't plan on swapping out to an 87+ again. That front looks way out. Get at your alignment and ride height you want to be at as well... but you probably already know that.

The only other solution I would consider would be to switch to late-offset suspension.
I'm not a fan of adapters.
There's negative camber there. Were you there with some string and a protractor? LOL. Most every car, including a family minivan, has a certain amount of negative camber for handling purposes.

Depending on the thickness of the spacer, if you can get it somewhere between 7mm and smaller you should be good to go. As long as you have a minimum of 5 full turns of the lugnut it's suppose to be safe.
In addition, you can also get the tapered lugnuts that goes into the lugnut hole thus allowing you to get even more grabbing of the lugnut.

To put the wheel in the correct position you will need about 1/2" of spacer and change the studs.
The wheels, according to the original order the rear wheels have an 8" inner and 2" outer. The front wheels appear to be 7.5" inner and 1.5" outer.
To resize the wheels you could use the front inner for the rear wheel, the rear outer for the front wheel.
He would need to purchase 2 inners and 2 outers. To have the matching finish the new rear outers would need to be anodized. Parts and labor will come to around $1700.00 plus shipping. Alternately you could sell this set of wheels to someone with 87 and later 944 or 968 or 928 and purchase a new set of Fikse wheels.

I would also need need new outer for the front.
