Default Wheel offsets for 1988 Turbo

Upgrading to new rims in the future. I have a 1988 951. Will these offsets work:

8 1/2 x 10 ET 52

10 x 18 ET 58

Thanks
Lane

Most definitely, I have that size with +54 in the rear and even more positive offset in the front than yours. Since your rears are already rolled, you should have no issues running a 265/35 series, even when lowered. You could also run a 285/30 or 295. Hope that helps.

Thanks James. The reason I ask is most of the upgraded rims I am seeing on these cars, like the MY02's have ET 50 front and ET 65 rear. I wasnt sure the above mentioned would work. Especially with buying rims over the internet you only get one shot and them being the right size.

Thanks

I have a set of Porsche Sport Classic IIs, 10x18 ET 65 running 255/40/18s on the rear of my '87 Turbo and they fit fine. I feel pretty certain that a 285/30/18 would fit easily because there is still a pretty good amount of clearance to the fender lip.

255/40's are more than an inch taller than the 285/30 so clearance shouldn't be an issue given the increased treadwith. The real question is, do you need 285/30's? rocketrider2 I'm curious what wheels do you have in mind? A +58ET with a 265/35 would be ideal IMO. I think you could get away with a 295/30 with that offset with a more aggressive roll. The safe bet is to run semi's in 265/35 on the rear and a 225/40 on the front, and you'll have no issues. They're lighter than the other two, which is also a plus if you are concerned about weight.
