Angry Carpet Kits!

Well, first off I'd like to say, I own a carpet kit, and have it in my car. I was very disappointed. I get these slight anxiety attacks everytime my carpet comes lose, I just can't stand it. NOTHING fit the way it was supposed to, NONE of the holes were pre-cut, we had to do it w/ a utility knife and if it wasn't 100% accurate you gained to much slack in some areas and lost it in others. > I'm just saying "FORGET IT!" and going to start looking for a new kit. WHAT CAN I DO to my interior? Also, the carpet is like a lesser grade, it's more wirey and less smoooooooth than original. Can you get pre-molded/cut ones? Please any ideas would be great, because of'course I want my car to LOOK GREAT.

I need to get some (and maybe all) of my carpeting redone too. I may just take it to a professional place. For the kind of work the pros do, the prices can be quite reasonable.

Craig, I'd advise you to get the carpeting and carpeting color that most closely matches the stock carpet (whatever that was).

I think many of the red cars came with black carpeting. I'm sure that someone will know for sure.

There's your answer.

OR...if you can get your hands on a complete red/maroon/burgundy interior....Just a thought, I don't think the factory did it, but.....

Are you sure your car is not guards red? I have never heard of a cayan red on a 944.

My guards red 951 had tan and looked great. red/tan is generally what to expect in a european car.

Craig, what's your paint code? I can look up the color for you...It's on a 1" decal near the relay box under the hood, or on the 'build sticker' on the rear tailite panel by the spare tire, (driver's side) it's got all of your options listed including interior trim code...
