Post Saratoga wannabe?

Has anyone tried this product? It seems like a pretty darn good deal...

<a href="http://www.jcwhitney.com/product.jhtml?CATID=120842&BQ=jcw2&_requestid=100029" target="_blank">http://www.jcwhitney.com/product.jhtml?CATID=120842&BQ=jcw2&_requestid=100029</a>

Thanks in advance.

-Matt

PS
My guess is the catch is that you loose the power sunroof ability?

Matt,

If it's anything like what came on my '84 (previous owner) don't do it! It looked like something off a 1970's conversion van, rattled all of the time, and leaked like a dam had just broken. I actually found a '83 parts car -so I wouldn't have to deal with the power roof, had the entire roof panel removed, chopped off my '84 and had the '83 installed. Best $1000 I ever spent It was worth it, but I should have done a lot more searching for a tighter car.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure there was only one size sunroof for the 944 series, including all 924's and 968's as well. Hell, even the electric and manual's were the same size... That would scare me from ordering bhy itself...

David, are you saying that you went to a roof w/out a sunroof entirely?

Probably the size of the glass compared to the frame.

Matt, I'm not sure about this ,but it looks like the type discussed earlier(RV quality)and I doubt since there are TWO sizes that either is a direct replacement for an EXISTING pop up/removable.... if you're hot for this, better have a long discussion with whoever supplies whiney, uh, er, whitney with this. Robby,

I wish!!! That's how my car came from the factory, with the sunroof delete. I looked for over a year and a half for a delete roof to install on my car to no avail. What I meant by specifying the '83 roof was that it's a manual roof so I didn't have any gears or power work to screw with. By the way, 2 months after I installed the new roof, quess what I came across??Of course a parts car with a sunroof delete What can you do??!!

David
