Cool I am an idiot - broke bolt on hatchback lock

Hey guys,

I just broke the bolt trying to get it off, the bolt that comes down to lock the back? The cone shaped one. I had a towel and vice grips on it and was turning it and it looked like it was turning but yeah, it was turning just APART! I had already done the right one successfully so I didn't think there was a problem. I used naval jelly and liquid wrench to try to make sure this didn't happen, but low and behold it did.

Any thoughts? Do I have to get an entirely new hatchback locking thingie or can I just find a cone shaped bolt that will fit and drill out the crap that's left in there? Or can I just get the bolt from Porsche?

Help.

-Matt

PS
I got my Hooker Aero Chamber in the mail and the Hooker 2.5 inch tip. I'm wondering also, should I find a nice stock tip where I can just weld that to my hooker muffler because I don't like the Hooker tip at all. Thanks.

I believe I've seen those hatch bolt things in the HELP! section of my local crap auto parts store, either NADA or Clown Auto. 3 or 4 bucks.

Good luck

Matt, if you don't find one locally, try one of the dismantlers, like Parts Heaven or 944 Ecology.
