Speedforce Racing
Cheers to SFR!
While everyone is taking the time to roast Tom Charlesworth and Derrek at Huntley Racing ... I would like to take the time to thank Tim and John at SpeedForce Racing.
They did everything they said they were going to do, including engine rebuild (which was finished today)... ahead of schedule and miles above of my expectations.
If anybody has the opportunity to work with these guys ... do not hesitate. They are the real deal!
There may be other people out there who claim they know Porsches and many probably do, but these guys take the extra time to make you feel good about a project....and deliver on their promisses!!!
Keep up the good work SFR.

I second that, as I have any time this topic comes up.

Danno,
I wasn't a party to this thread...but I want to come to this shindig too!
I'm in Southern California and if you set it up for Orange County like John asked, I'm there. Will it be just to get the cars all in the same spot for pictures and a little drive-around? and pizza?
If you're interested, the highway through the Cleveland National Forrest (forget the highway name) is full of twisties. It meets the 5 Fwy at San Juan Capistrano and goes inland. Check your road atlas(sorry, don't have one here). It might make for a nice run.

It was the red race car, with the numbers on the side, we also had another car at the shop (the old shop, tim's garage) that was in the middle of getting a SFR 3.0 upgrade. Andy's car did end up a nice race car. Considering, he bought it from Huntley Racing about a year ago, after many months at Huntley, with no progress Andy wanted to move the car to our shop, Derrek ended up talking andy into a few more days to get the car ready (going on around 7 months from the purchase date by now) and POOF, The car Catches fire at Huntley, I believe totaled by the insurance company...at that point and moved the car to our shop...what a mess...The car was only 10% complete! We gutted the rest of the interior, PROPERRLY installed the tranny oil pump, with fan, painted the interior, cleaned up the engine bay (thats what we were instructed to do, Huntley said the motor was still ok, just a bunch of fire extinguisher dust etc) sealed major oil leaks, went to start the car, ok...it idle'd fine, all systems check at this point...the next day, dyno time! Started the car, clank clank ...freeze up...os crap! Called Andy! Andy wanted a new motor, we tore into it...found a washer was trapped in the number four cylinder! This washer is getting attatched to a Porsche Key Chain for andy! the cylinders all had that darn extinguisher dust in them! Completely wore the walls out. I called Andy, we agreed on a one and one half week time period to finish the entire fiberglass work, paint the new panels, build and install the new motor, dyno tune and test...and finally load the car on the transport! In the meant8ime, we have orders to fill, more motors to build, two 951's waiting for new motors...crap...just shoot me.
THe good news???? We did it! Minus a few minor details...bleeding breaks, installiung side mirrors etc...but the car left today!
I have to say, if anyone ever meets Andy, feel lucky. He is a hell of a guy! He has been thru the crap in the past year..invested many thousands in a car he has never seen, and had the trust SFR to get the job done. In the face of the grimm reaper, he held strong, and we did pull through. Happy Racing ANDY!

Hang in there John, new orders are a good thing. I think you have learned a few things from your previous experience on how you should and how you should not treat your customers, be fair, honest and SFR will need to add staff members.
