The drive might look like this:

Depart: Raxx Bar & Grill
North on Gardiners Rd (County Rd 38) to Alton Rd.
East on Alton Road to Campbell Rd
North on Campbell Rd to Stage Coach Rd.
North on Stage Coach Rd which becomes Mill Street once you cross Rutledge Rd in the village of Sydenham
Mill Street becomes Bedford Rd at the Beer Store.
Follow Bedford on 25 kms of ultra twisty, turny, super descents and uphills near Frontenac Park and Cottage Country until you reach County Rd 38 All guaranteed to challenge your car and your driving skills. Enjoy tree-lined roads, lakes and more.
Travel north on County Rd 38 to Westport Rd. As you near the Town of Westport you'll encounter a couple of chicanes.
Stop in Westport at The Cove for pub fare, ice cream, great shopping or just enjoy the Upper Rideau Lake.

You won't find many of these roads on google maps but, they do exist and are fine surfaces (with the odd patch or two).

Roger

I posted a link over in the Canadian Forum in case anyone who doesn't lurk in the 44 forums can see it too. Should we put an "ad" on Kijiji? Like the Montreal meet did?

Curtisr - Roger, yes I have driven that route before - lots of fun. April last year was the last time. It was still a little sandy from the winter sanding, but it should be nice and clear by now. Sounds like a good route to me.

ZR8ED - Scott, if you could put something on kijiji that would be great. Also has this been x-posted to the Canadian Rennlist forum?

I can Rall raxx to let them know we are coming.

Ok this weekend is coming fast! Tell all your Porsche buddies to come and don't be afraid to bring a co-pilot, be it friend or spouse. All models of Porsche are welcome.
We have yet to see a 911 show up. If we get a good turn out we can take some pics and send them to UCR and perhaps put them in the Provinz mag.

Lets hope for good weather as the tour that Roger & Charlie proposed will be a good one!

See you all there!

Hi everyone,

Here's a suggestion for plenty more curves and scenery on the return leg and a weather report:

Darn it was cold and windy, and it didn't take much convincing to get everyone to go inside for lunch. A great turnout considering the chilly start. At least the sun was out the whole time. After lunch we even had time to perform a chip swap before we headed out on the cruise. The road up to Westport was fantastic with some spectacular curves, elevation changes, lakes, ponds forest and cliffs! We even had a rally section of the course..that slowed us down a bit, and it continued for another few km's past the "end of construction" sign..who ever moved that sign should be shot! But we made it up to Westport just fine if a bit dusty. We traded spots while we drove a few times, to mix up the pack, and was an all around great drive! The best sign was one of those wiggly line caution signs with a "26km" under it!

Thanks to all who braved the weather to come out!!

Well considering that we took so long to nail down a date, we had a record number of cars out this year. The new record is 10 cars. I had posted that we hadn't had a 911 show up in the previous years so I guess my prayers were answered when "4" 911's showed their bountiful curves.

We had a good representation of models show up. They were:

911 - 4
928 - 1
968 - 1
924 - 1
944 - 2
951 - 1

Unfortunately not all could participate in the drive after lunch, but those that did had a very fun time as Scott mentioned above.

Thanks to all for their support and attendance.

Here are a few pics. We didn't get a chance to line all the cars up for a proper photo as some guys didn't stay too long due to the cold, so there are a few missing from the photos..
