Post Track tires???

I was wondering how many miles a typical track tire can see. Also, has anyone ever bought a pair of rain competition tires and used them in the rain? How is the traction compared to a street tire in the rain?

Thanks,
Dave

Track tire thing is very relative. Driving style, speed, conditions, length, etc. Some folks burn through a set in one weekend (2 hours on track)... some may last a whole year. Best rain tire (affordable) I've seen is the Yoko A032R. Theses have a pretty full footprint, so maybe not too good in standing water... but, in the wet or light rain, they are very fun. Kumho V700's are okay for a while, but loose the water evacuation needed when at half-tread. I'd like to try out the new BFG KDW's next... need more friends
