Question Sanden A/C Conversions

Anyone install Vertex's Sanden A/C Conversion? I bought it and it came with the compressor, a length of A/C hose, 3 barbed slip type hose fittings, 3 hose clamps. The compressor is a six ribbed pulley opposed to a five ribbed and only has one wire opposed to two. And no instructions. I have emailed them to make sure I got the right kit. Any thoughts?

My thought is that Vertex is Crap. It sounds like they got you the wrong pulley.

YMMV

Sorry. I have had bad expieriences with them. Also, so have many others. It took them 3 weeks to ship some parts for me. 3 weeks!

Anyway. I have heard good things about the Saden compressors. Also, the Kuel ones.

You should call the guys at Griffiths. They should be able to tell you one way or the other.

a call tomorrow and see what they say. I have had good luck with Vertex up untill now and after I ordered the kit my 6 month old vertex rebuilt trany in my 85/1 944 blew. Not to pleased with them right now.

it is the right kit. you replace the hose going to the condenser and change the fitting on the other one. vertex is ok for new parts but i would NEVER buy anything "rebuilt" from them.
