Question Will these speakers fit?

Hello,

I am wondering if anyone can tell me what speakers to install in my 1987 Porsche 924s.
Crutchfield says start cutting and drilling and fit a generic size.
I am looking to stay original and was hoping not to do any of that metal work!
Here is one pair of speakers that I have been looking at, will they work?

RetroSound R-463N
4"x6" 2-way speakers

Thanks,
Grant

Thanks but that doesn't quite clear up what I was looking for, the space and size requirements are more of a concern with the power windows and door card sizes.
Thanks for the interesting article!

They might just fit, I'm pretty sure it has to have a mounting depth of less than 1 1/2" to fit the doors. Otherwise you need spacers to be able to bolt it down.

Any 4x6 will fit, some need small spacers others dont. I had pioneer 4x6's in mine and they fit fine, now I have rockford fosgates and I cut myself out some ~1" wood spacers, covered in vinyl it looks stock.
