Need help! All warning lights on dash won't turn off

Working on an 89 S2 at the shop the other day, the odometer gear was replaced and cluster installed like normal, everything seemed to work fine except the oil pressure gauge was pegged. The car has been sitting for a couple months prior so I assumed it might just be a bad sending unit.
Well the next day while driving I noticed the oil press gauge was at zero. The car was restarted a few times and then randomly all of the warning lights on the cluster are staying on. I rechecked the three connections behind the cluster and all the pins and ribbons look like they are making good contact.
It is the next day and all the warning lights are still not turning off after running the car for a minute.
Any ideas as to what could cause this? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Any progress or solution here. Sounds like exactly the same issue I am dealing with on my S2. Check my thread I just updated tonight for where I am on this.
