I told you that if I found the source of the info that I could only recall from memory, I'd post it...

"A collectors Guide Porsche 924, 944 & 968" by Michael Cotton shows the 944 turbo based test chasis (for different suspension layouts/engine/chasis layouts) on page 70 with a brief description.

Also, the June issue of the magazine Panorama provides further insight into the development of the 959, and the testing of various turbo systems on the 944 turbo (before the layout for the 959 was decided). Some of the info gained was applied to the 964 based turbo, and most to the 993 twin turbo. Clearly the 959 is based on the 911, my argument point was that most of the testing involved 944 turbo engines. (This is when Porsche decided upon using parallel twin turbos, instead of sequential. As I stated earlier, this is where the twin turbo 944 rumors started from).
