misc 924S updates - 928 dish wheels, side strip
hey so looking at improving a junkyard deal beater of a 924S
looking at some sewer lids, the staggered ones with the 8" in rear. would these generally bolt right onto the 924S or would i need spacing or would i be at any risk for rub (its not lowered)
i'm also looking to fix some of the side strips that came off at some point. can you order replacement side strips? im talking that little 3/4" plastic rubber side stripping. any info on updating this?
thanks - looking forward to this car and spring happening maybe at the same time.

For the side strips, I think a body shop may be able to get generic pieces that are a very close/exact match
For the wheels, it depends on the offset. I have phone dials wheels from a late 944 turbo on my 924S and the 8" wide rears fit without a problem.

The stagger will fit.. but i'll tell you that i liked my 924S with the same sized wheels/tires all around. I ran staggered 205/225 16's for a short time and it just made the car understeer more. Not enough power to warrant a staggered setup. Same with my 944S, i run 225/50/16's all around on 7" rims and i like the way car handles.

I have side moulding strips that where freshly painted black (well painted years ago) that just sit in my garage. I also have a set of flat dish rims off a 931 and have two off a 928. The strips are the thicker ones found on the later 944 cars, but either take the strips off or put the thicker ones on.
