Montreal Early Spring Meeting?
After the successful Montreal Late Fall Meeting held last October...
https://rennlist.com/forums/924-931-...l-meeting.html
... how about a spring meeting? Two important dates coming up, March 20 is officially the beginning of spring, but here in Quebec more importantly is March 16 when you can circulate without winter tires!
eric951turbo did such a great job of organising last fall maybe he would be up to doing it again...
Anyway my 924S is finally ready to go...

Hi Grant,
my car might not be able to make for spring. I'm doing some work on the engine.
If you want more people, you should consider putting this ad on the Canadian section, also as kijiji and facebook (944 + 951 pages).
I've made a quick poster for the event, let me know when you have a confirmed date, I will change it. Notice that this spring, the poster deserves a 924 : )

From: one thousand, five hundred miles north of Ft. Lauderdale for the summer.
did you catch Tony Marinaro's rant today ? he's absolutely insane.
all Chara did was defend a cheap shot your guy made on Tyler Seguin.
still, judging by the callers, anyone from Bruins land would likely be killed
and i'd be scared for my life up there.

Now that spring seems really to be here... suggestions for a date and a place? Since I started this thread I'll try to organise it if there is a minimum of interest...

Wildcat, what are you doing on your car?
I'm changing all the gasket/seals on the engine. I had an oil leak, coming from somewhere. Also doing the rod bearings, lindsey oil baffle thing.
A very long project. Each time I do something, something brakes. Like today, when I removed the oil pan, the inside plastic baffle broke in pieces.
Another 100$ : )
I started that job with just changing the oil pan gasket and rod bearings.
Kind of told myself "while I'm there".

Judging by the limited interest so far I guess I'm a bit more impatient than the majority. This is my first spring with the 924S on the road and I would have loved to start the season with a meeting. I have been puttering around Laval and Montreal getting used to the car and building up confidence in the engine since I changed the TB etc., so far it's running great!
But I am going to have bail out on the idea of organising this event, if it is going to happen, not that I wouldn't like to, but around the end of April my girlfriend and I are leaving for a 6 week vacation in Italy and I am getting into the details of preparatint that, as well as some projects on the house that I want to finish before leaving.
For anyone that is interested, we will be traveling on a freighter from Philadelphia to Antwerp in Belgium (then flying back in June) so it's a bit more complicated than jumping on a plane... but it should be an adventure...

When the weather gets better and assuming I get my car running I would pick up the ball here. But lets figure late spring not early spring.
Enjoy your 924s I am jealous was expecting to be driving mine by now.

weather cant get any worse in MTL, today was a weird one.
looking like May 1st to get my car out of storage.
@eric951turbo - I have planned to do the same over the summer, I have a small leak in my oil pan. going to change the rod bearings at the same time.
