Post *****Gauge pod ordering process starting today...I need a concensus on what size*****

I have tallied 21 orders for the gaugepods, which is enough.

Most people seem to want the 2 gaugepod pillars, and I think we are limited to a run of EITHER 2 or 3, so I think we will do 2.

As far as the gaugesize is concerned...I just need to find out what size everyone wants. I think the pods are sized for 2" - 2 1/16" gauges, but we may be able to get another size if there is a majority of people wanting it...

So is everyone cool with 2" - 2 1/16" gaugepods? Respond here.

yes, that's fine. I think almost everyone supplies them in that size... right?

Question

(2) 2 1/16" pods would work for me.

I have a few questions that I have not yet seen voiced, but let me preface it by saying that I am grateful for the initiative and work that you guys are doing:

* Will we be able to make a decision as to if we want one after the prototype has been mocked-up and a picture posted to the site?

* Is this to be a one time run or will we be able to order one at will in a year or so?

At this time I have the need for only one extra gauge and I do not know what I would put in the other pod. (I am finalizing the mounting of my one gauge close to the far-left driver’s side vent, near the fog light switch.)

If I need to make a decision now, I will order one and sell it on E-bay if I never use it.

All sounds good to me, I have to go from an order of 2 to an order for 1 (Sorry) I checked my race car and it wont fit around the cage.

Thumbs up

That size is fine here.

Anybody have a link to good prices for white face gauges? Preferably VDO. Any comments?

Ribs, Thanks again.

nope, but autometer has a couple of lines with type fonts VERY CLOSE to the Porsche stock VDO gauges. Instead of white-faced, you may want to check out autometer's Ultra-lite aluminum-faced gauges - that's what I'm doing for boost - and like I said, the numbers match what is already there...

I am also going autometer for the A/F ratio gauge, but will go black with that, paint the bezel black, and tint the glass on the gauge to knock the LEDs down a little bit - it should be very subtle, and hopefully won't compete with the alum. faced boost gauge...

2 1/16" is cool with me. Have you discussed a price yet?

I am very interested in one of your gauge pods also. What is the price for one?

Thanks,

Steve
