944 get together/swap meet east bay??
Any 944 swap meets or get togethers going on soon (next month, next week, sometime this year??) in or near the East Bay, CA?? (San Francisco, Sacramento, etc..) Just wondering!! Would like to meet up with some other 944/944 turbo owners!!

Parts Heaven has an annual swap meet and show in June. There is also a 'show and shine' in Danville every summer. Check out the PCA calendar for auto crosses and other events -- summer tends to be more active for obvious reasons...

Let's set one up! Years ago, people here would set up awesome fun runs. I even set up a couple myself. Where are you? I love the roads around mt Hamilton and calaveras (San jose)

I heard Mines Rd/Mt. Hamilton is a blast but I have never done it before. We could possibly set something up for around there!! There is supposed to be a sweet restaurant at the top of Mt. Hamilton.. or so someone told me.. haha

Hmm, I've been up there 2 or 3 times, but I went straight for the observatory parking lot which has a great view. If there is a restaurant there, that would be a good spot to take a break and grab a bite.
What do you think if we set up a run for April 6 (a Saturday)? I need a couple of weeks to fix a few things on my car, and I'm busy helping a friend do front seals and head gasket on his pcar which he needs done before the end of March.
The route I used to set up was from Sunol, Calaveras rd to San Jose, Mt Ham rd, Mines rd, and ends in Livermore. Mines rd is one of the world's most epic roads, really the only downside to it is that you end up in Livermore.

Well I'm screwed now!! I can't go anymore because last night I was driving home.. bit sleepy. Fell asleep for a minute or two I guess and BAM.. hit the guardrail. Whole drivers side of my car is borked. And I just put a straight pipe in my car last night too..
